Parent and Baby Yoga in Crystal Palace

Parent (and Baby) Yoga

Tuesdays 11-12pm - New classes start 11th September 2018

A yoga class specifically for mums/dads/grandparents and others where you can bring your baby along! Suitable for all abilities including beginners, this slower paced dynamic yoga class is taught in a relaxed atmosphere where babies can join on the mat or nearby and where their needs can be attended to as and when needed - ie you can breastfeed, change your baby or do anything else during the class. 

This class enables you to focus on your breathing and come back to your own body to ease the build up of late nights spent looking after your little one. You will stretch, tone and unwind tension alongside a small group of other parents. Mums, we recommend waiting until you have been certified as fit to exercise by your doctor following your six week check before joining this class.

Suitable for babies up to walking age. Please note that we have limited pram space at the studio so please try to arrive on foot with your baby in a sling if possible (but don't be deterred by this - we will fit prams in as best we can)! Yoga mats provided free of charge.

Price per parent: £12 drop in, or £60 for 6 classes (10 week expiry).
This class is free for Gold, Silver, or Bronze Members, 1 month pass users, and those on the 30 day intro offer.

Toddler and Parent Yoga

Tuesdays 9.30-10.30am - New classes start 11th September 2018

Our toddler yoga class is a wonderful way to increase your child’s co-ordination, self-awareness and confidence while they move, breathe and strengthen their bodies in a playful setting.

Participation from both parent and toddler is encouraged in these fun and engaging sessions, which include mindful moments, yoga through stories and yoga games. Suitable for toddlers from walking age until starting school (approx age 1-3.5). Please note that we have limited pram space at the studio so please try to encourage your toddler to arrive on foot if possible!  Yoga mats provided free of charge.

Price per toddler: £12 drop in, or £60 for 6 class pass (10 week expiry).

Sibling discount: £8 per additional toddler, or £40 per additional 6 class pass - contact us to book siblings. Please note that Toddler Yoga classes are not included with membership, 1 month pass, nor the 30 day intro offer.

Kids Yoga

Wednesdays 4-5pm (4-7yrs) or 5.15-6.15pm (8-11yrs) - Starts 7th November 2018

Our kids yoga courses are fun and inclusive, supporting children to develop physically, mentally and emotionally. Each week we learn a new set of postures and explore their benefits, to promote balance, coordination, strength and flexibility, as well as increase body awareness and confidence.

‘Mindful moments’ play an important role in the sessions; helping children tune in with their minds and emotions to support emotion-regulation, reduce anxiety and increase focus and concentration. Suitable for all levels of experience and ability. Yoga mats provided free of charge.

Price: £60 per child for 6 week course

Meet our Kids Yoga teacher, Julia Karnacz!

Julia is our resident baby, toddler, kids and teens yoga teacher. She passionately believes in sharing her love of yoga with people of all ages. Her warm and gentle nature creates a calm and welcoming class environment and she enjoys using her artistic background to add a sense of imagination and creativity to her classes. She has been practicing yoga since 2004 and has explored Ashtanga, Bikram and Power Yoga before discovering Dynamic Vinyasa and completing her teacher training at The Yoga Edge.
 
After a number of years in children’s education she embraced the urge to pursue her dream of teaching yoga to children on a full-time basis. Julia believes in the healing and growth that yoga can bring in all areas of life; physically, mentally and spiritually.
