Founder of The Yoga Edge
Tom is the founding teacher and owner of The Yoga Edge, which he built from scratch in 2013—starting with just one weekly class and a handful of flyers. Today, the studio welcomes hundreds of students each week, led by Tom and his dedicated team of teachers.
Tom first discovered yoga while recovering from a long-term dance injury. What began as a doctor’s recommendation soon became a lifeline, helping him rebuild both physical strength and self-confidence. He quickly found that yoga offered far more than rehabilitation—it provided a balance of movement, mindfulness, and community that kept him hooked.
Having studied a variety of styles of the years, including Jivamukti, Bikram, Ashtanga, and Iyengar, Tom gravitated towards dynamic vinyasa yoga for its combination of challenge, clarity, and flow.
Tom’s style is clear, inclusive, and down-to-earth. He encourages students to work to their edge while feeling supported, creating classes that are both physically challenging and mentally grounding. Students often describe his teaching as friendly, motivating, and transformative.
