Discover the art of giving and receiving a deeply healing, rejuvenating massage in this fun and practical workshop.
Shiatsu massage is a Japanese bodywork technique designed to balance and open the body while calming the mind. It combines gentle pressure, assisted stretching, and mindful connection — leaving both giver and receiver restored and centred.
Alongside traditional Shiatsu techniques, you’ll also explore partner yoga–based stretches designed to improve flexibility, release tension, and build trust and connection through supported movement.
What you’ll experience:
• Deep relaxation and reduced stress
• Greater energy and vitality
• Enhanced flexibility and range of motion
• Improved circulation
• A calmer, more focused mind
During the workshop, you’ll both give and receive around an hour of massage. Working in pairs, you’ll learn a range of bodywork techniques where the receiver lies on a mat, fully clothed, while the giver uses thumbs, palms, elbows, and even feet to gently press and stretch the body. As the receiver relaxes, the giver practices presence and intuition — creating a shared state of calm focus.
Shiatsu is suitable for everyone — you don’t need any prior experience in yoga or massage. Just bring curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore healing touch in a safe, supportive environment.
Whilst you are very welcome to book and attend this workshop with a friend/partner, this is not essential. If attending on your own, we will partner you with someone for the duration of the workshop.
